Commercial Sliding Gate, Fermoy, Co. Cork

We completed an 8-metre commercial sliding gate installation in Fermoy, Co. Cork. The main gate has a vertical-bar design across the commercial entrance and is accompanied by a matching pedestrian side gate and fence panel. Together, the three sections provide a consistent configuration across the vehicle entrance, pedestrian access point and adjoining boundary section.

We automated the sliding gate using a SEA 2000 kg inverter-controlled motor. Photocells and safety edges were incorporated as the confirmed safety equipment for the automated system. The inverter-controlled motor operates the full 8-metre gate and forms the central automation component of the completed motorised gate installation.

Access to the main gate is managed through push-button controls, GSM dial-to-open functionality and keypad access. The matching pedestrian gate was also fitted with a battery-powered keypad, allowing pedestrian access to be managed in the event of a power failure. The completed gate installation combines the commercial sliding gate, matching side gate and fence panel with the specified automation, safety equipment and access-control methods.
