Automated Swing Gate – Blackrock, Cork

We automated a new swing gate at a new development in Blackrock, Cork. The gate has an open vertical-bar design, with pointed upper ends. Our team completed the powered operating system, safety equipment and access controls for the entrance, combining hydraulic automation for swing gates with controlled access for authorised users and sensor-operated free exit.

We installed hydraulic rams controlled by inverter technology to open and close the gate. The inverter control provides smooth operation and supports continuous cycles, managing the movement of the hydraulic drive during opening and closing. Safety edges were fitted on all leading edges of the motorised gate, with photocells also included in the safety system. We installed two flashing lights to provide a visible warning during operation, completing the safety equipment for the automated entrance.

Access is managed through Tell GSM Pro, which provides control over authorised users of the gate. We also installed a BEA sensor using virtual loops to provide free exit. This allows exit through the automated entrance without requiring authorisation through the GSM access-control system. Our team completed the gate installation with inverter-controlled hydraulic operation, safety edges, photocells and two flashing lights, together with the GSM access management and virtual-loop free exit.
