Full Aluminium Swing Gates - Collon, Meath
We installed full aluminium swing gates at an entrance in Collon, Meath. The gate model is Menez, with solid leaves constructed from vertically arranged aluminium boards. The same board design runs across both leaves, giving the entrance a consistent, solid gate structure. We fitted the pair as aluminium gates that open in a swing arrangement, with the Menez design carried through both sides of the entrance.
We automated the swing gates using a SEA 24-volt underground system. This provides powered opening and closing while keeping the operating equipment below ground. The system includes reverse-on-obstacle functionality, so gate movement reverses if an obstacle is detected during operation. We also fitted photocells inside and outside the entrance for safety, covering both approaches to the motorised gate.
For access control, we installed a GSM intercom with a combined keypad and built-in dial-to-open functionality. The keypad provides a control point at the entrance, while dial-to-open allows the gate to be operated through the GSM system. The completed gate installation brings together the Menez aluminium swing gates, underground automation, reverse-on-obstacle function, photocells on both sides of the entrance and GSM access-control equipment.
