Automatic Bi-parting Steel Sliding Gate – Naas, Co. Kildare

We completed the installation of an automatic bi-parting steel sliding gate system in Naas, Co. Kildare, formed from two separate sliding gate sections. Both sections feature full-steel construction with hidden vent holes integrated into the steel gate structure. The bi-parting configuration represents one of the gate types used across our completed projects, with the two sections moving away from each other during opening and returning towards the centre during closing.

The gates were galvanised and powder-coated to complete the specified finish. We automated the system using two SEA Mercury 800 kg 24-volt motors, with one motor assigned to each sliding gate section. The 800 kg figure refers to the motor specification rather than the actual weight of each gate. As a motorised gate system, the paired automation allows both sections to operate as part of the same bi-parting arrangement while maintaining individual motor control for each section.

We also installed a video intercom system with a keypad, touch-screen monitor and video memory. The keypad provides an access input point at the gate, while the touch-screen monitor serves as the internal interface for intercom communication. Video memory forms part of the confirmed intercom system. Our team completed the automation and video intercom work required for the finished gate installation.
