Steel Driveway Swing Gates, Rathfeigh, County Meath
We installed a pair of steel swing gates at a driveway entrance in Rathfeigh, Meath. The driveway gates were galvanised and powder-coated before being fitted with 180 mm aluminium tongue-and-groove infill. This combination retained the confirmed steel gate construction while incorporating aluminium boards across the gate leaves, bringing together the specified gate materials for the project.
We automated the gates using an SCA 24-volt underground automation system. As a motorised gate system, the underground equipment operates the swing gates while keeping the automation positioned below ground level. Our team configured the system with reverse-on-obstacle functionality. We also fitted photocells inside and outside the entrance as the confirmed safety equipment for the automated gate system.
For access communication and gate operation, we installed a combined video intercom and keypad. The intercom provides video communication, while the keypad allows the gate system to be operated using the configured access method. Remote controls were also supplied for remote gate operation. The completed gate installation brings together steel swing gates, 180 mm aluminium infill, SCA underground automation, internal and external photocells, a combined video intercom and keypad, and remote controls.
