Steel Sliding Gate with Aluminium Infill, Summerhill, Meath
We completed this steel gate project in Summerhill, Meath, installing a galvanised and powder-coated sliding gate with 90 mm aluminium tongue-and-groove infill boards. The combination of steel construction and aluminium infill brings together two different gate materials within the confirmed sliding configuration, with the galvanised and powder-coated treatment applied to the steel gate.
We automated the gate using a SEA Mercury 24-volt motor. As a motorised gate, the automation includes reverse-on-obstacle functionality, allowing the gate to reverse when an obstacle is detected during operation. Our team also fitted photocells inside and outside the entrance as the confirmed safety equipment for the automated system.
For access and communication, we installed a combined video intercom and keypad. This provides video communication and keypad-operated access at the entrance. Remote controls were also supplied for remote gate operation. Our team completed all groundworks required for the project. This is one of our gate installations combining steel construction, 90 mm aluminium infill boards, SEA Mercury automation, reverse-on-obstacle functionality, internal and external photocells, access controls, remote operation and completed groundworks.
