Steel Sliding Gate with Oak Wood-Effect Infill, Summerhill, Meath
We completed this steel gate installation in Summerhill, Meath. The gate was galvanised and powder-coated before being fitted with oak wood-effect aluminium tongue-and-groove infill and matching decorative posts. The gate operates as a sliding gate, creating a practical entrance layout. Combining steel construction with aluminium infill also brings together different gate materials within the completed project. The oak wood-effect aluminium provides the appearance of a wooden gate, while the infill itself remains aluminium rather than natural timber.
We automated the gate with a Mercury 24-volt motor. As a motorised gate, the system includes reverse-on-obstacle functionality as part of the confirmed automation setup. We also fitted photocells at high and low levels for safety, retaining the specified arrangement without adding further safety equipment or unconfirmed operating features.
For access and communication, we installed a combined stainless steel video intercom and keypad. A seven-inch touchscreen was fitted inside the house for internal video communication and gate operation. Remote controls were also supplied for remote gate control. This is one of our gate installations combining a galvanised and powder-coated steel sliding gate, oak wood-effect aluminium infill, matching decorative posts, Mercury automation, high- and low-level photocells, and the confirmed intercom, keypad, touchscreen and remote-control equipment.
